STEAM BOX

L&E supplies steam boxes designed to increase the dewatering capacity of the mechanical drying press.
Additionally it can be used to preheat or to control and correct the humidity cross profile of the web.
The L&E steam box is designed to blow steam directly to the web surface. It can be precisely adjusted by a holding device.
The steam box is built of stainless steel, fully insulated and it can be separated into a limited number of sections. All sections can be manually adjusted or PLC controlled through control valves.
The L&E steam box increases the efficiency of the mechanical dewatering press without any modification of its pressure.
Additionally the higher web temperature upon entering the drying section avoids / minimizes sticking and fluffing at the first drying cylinders.
