Example sources of dissipated heat:
• exhaust air from IR and hot air dryers
• condensate / hot water from PM systems
• exhaust PM air
• compressor heat loss (air and oil)
• boiler flue gases
The drying system consists of several modules at the heart of which is a rack dryer. After compacting the reject is broken up and comminuted. This generates additional specific surface area that facilitates reject drying. After comminution the reject is transported to the actual dryer. There the material is subjected to a uniform throughflow of drying air before it is discharged after the preset drying time. The dried reject can then be transferred to the next processing stage. A downstream filter ensures that the exhaust air has a low dust content according to the German Clean Air Act. The L&E reject dryer is a simple and effective solution for screen rejects. The utilisation of waste heat also means that no additional primary energy is used for drying.
Owing to its high disposal and zero transport costs the L&E reject dryer recoups your investment in the shortest possible time.
