ADSORPTION WHEEL
For cleaning large exhaust flows with low solvent load L&E uses adsorption wheels. In this case the solvent part is transferred from a bulk, low loaded exhaust flow into a considerable smaller, high loaded exhaust flow. This can be reached, when the solvent from a surface active material (activated carbon/ Zeolite) is adsorbed first and then again desorbed by deaeration of the hot air/ steam. Both processes take place at a continuous rotating reactor (adsorption wheel), the ad-/desorption happens simultaneous in different segments.
Operational areas are among other things the exhaust air purification of lacquer systems (f. e. spray booth), damp zone of printing industries, the can making industry and coil coating process of chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
If necessary the upgraded solvent in the desorption flow can be recovered or leaded to the thermal oxidation (for example L&E Thermo Reactor).
