HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEMS

The continuously increasing pressure of costs causes the industry to considering also the operation costs next to the invest costs.
The operating costs seen over the service life are often a multiple higher than the purchase price of the system was.
Here energy is the most important factor in costs and will be significantly affected by the method of heat recovery.
L&E uses several types of heat recovery at different temperature levels:
In case of high solvent concentrations, means at over-autothermic operation, L&E uses hot gas heat exchanger. Here hot gas (T=820°C) will be sucked-off of the combustion chamber. With the hot gas different heat transfer medium can be heated:

1. Thermal – oil
2. Steam

Furthermore also the outgoing clean gas from the Thermo Reactor (T=100°C – approx. 400°C) can be used for the heat recovery.

1. Warm air production (clean gas/ Air Heat Exchanger)
2. Warm water production (clean gas/ Air Heat Exchanger)
